1960s Christina (De Hart) Roush ’69 is a nurse consultant for the Provident Foundation. Her husband, Tim Berger ’70 (radiology), became ill with a chronic neurological disorder and passed away in February 2005. She writes that through prayers of family and friends, she met Duane Roush, who had lost his spouse in the same year. They married in July 2007 and live in Florida and Michigan. Her e-mail is mary2659@att.net. 1980s Bruce Jeffries ’83 retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2002 and has worked for the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response since 2003. He’s the interim director in the Office of Emergency Preparedness, where he is responsible for public health emergency preparedness activities in Georgia. Yvette Stuart ’84 lives in Redding, Calif., where she retired from Redding Medical Center after working as a unit manager. She now works part time for a local doctor. Correction:
Remembrance: Oscar Boonshoft, a dear friend and longtime benefactor of Kettering College , passed away on March 22, 2010. He and his family had a significant role in funding the facility expansion for Kettering College, and the college’s main building bears his name. Mr. Boonshoft attended our groundbreaking, dedication and opening of the Boonshoft Center for Medical Sciences in August of 2006.
Henry Brodie, 86, former professor of microbiology at Kettering College and Loma Linda University, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010. He taught at Kettering College from 1969 to 1981, working at Loma Linda and Kettering College for a total of 38 years. Not only was he a well-liked and respected professor, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Alyson; five children; five grandchildren; and two siblings.
