STUDENT GOVERNANCE

2010-11

Student governance opportunities are available within each program; students elect officers to serve their program needs and represent them on the College student senate. Elections take place at the beginning of the academic year; special elections are schedule when necessary. The student senate provides a structure for students and College administration to communicate; provides departmental student leadership; provides a forum for dialogue on student and College issues; and sustains the caring community for students at the departmental and College levels. Students also have the opportunity to serve as the student representative to the College Senate, a College-wide governance committee comprising faculty and staff from the various departments at kc.

All matriculated students are eligible to participate in student life functions throughout the academic year.
